Landmark Information Group has announced that its market leading environmental desk study service, Envirocheck, is now available internationally. Envirocheck International is a 'one-stop-shop' providing environmental data reports for environmental consultants working on land divestiture, acquisitions and refinancing around the world.
Consultants working on sites outside the UK have often found it a time-consuming and expensive process to undertake due diligence, painstakingly sourcing and collating reports from around the globe.
The launch of Envirocheck International will provide a fast, accurate screening service across mainland Europe as well as more detailed reports for EU and non-EU countries including the Middle East, Africa, Russia, Far East, Australasia, Latin America and North America (via Landmark's sister company EDR). The service offers a convenient and cost-effective alternative to manual data collection, giving quick and easy access to reports.
David Mole, Managing Director of Landmark Environmental Due Diligence, Landmark Information Group comments: "Envirocheck International is set to revolutionise the way site risk assessment is undertaken outside the UK.
Envirocheck International will enable consultants to quickly and easily obtain all relevant data sets for their market and the service removes the requirement for translation, resulting in significant cost and time savings. With every country having different information available, our international network has access to all the latest reports for every country in which we offer the service and we will continually expand and update our data sets in-line with market demand.
"The creation of Envirocheck International comes on the back of the success of Envirocheck in the UK and has been developed as a direct result of demand from existing multi-national clients who wanted to use our services internationally."
Stephen Stout, CEO, Landmark Information Group, comments: "The launch of Envirocheck International is a natural extension and an exciting move that supports our latest phase of expansion in to Europe and beyond. This development is driven by on-going demand from our existing clients and professionals who want to use Landmark as their chosen partner to fulfil their digital mapping and land data management requirements across international markets with peace of mind; Envirocheck helps remove the risk from property transactions."
Envirocheck International offers a centralised service allowing data from various sources to be collated quickly enabling consultants to prepare for detailed desktop / Phase 1 site assessments and environmental liability appraisal.
Availability and coverage of information varies between countries and can include current and historical maps, aerial photography, geological and hydro-geological information, flood risk mapping, public register information, the location and status of Critical Natural Habitats and / or Protected Areas, and current land use e.g. industrial facilities.
