Testo Ltd are pleased to announce the launch of the testo 330 series - a new generation of flue gas analysers that offer heating contractors, industrial installers and service engineers a complete measurement solution.
The testo 330 series features instrument diagnosis which provides the user with information on the qualitative status of various functions and consumable parts, such as gas measurement cells. This information can be used to help plan and schedule any servicing required and therefore avoid unplanned and potentially costly instrument downtime.
DURABLE AND ROBUST
The testo 330 gas analysers have been carefully designed to provide users with a durable and reliable instrument. In both the testo 330-1 and testo 330-2 the design of the gas paths and measurement cells, in connection with the positioning of the condensate trap, prevents blockage caused by condensate and it is easy to gain access to the condensate trap for emptying purposes. The instrument's particle filter absorbs impurities at the point where they accumulate and is located in the probe handle, for easy access and cleaning. The testo 330-2 boasts Testo's patented technology that guarantees efficient display of the CO level of up to 30,000 ppm, ideal for engineers working in extreme conditions, such as highly contaminated burners.
USER FRIENDLY FEATURES
The new instruments are ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in the hand, but more importantly the unique housing offers built in protection from impact and dirt. In addition, the large backlit display is slightly recessed in the housing for better protection. The instrument is designed to be simple and easy to us; the highly robust fast probe connection system for all gas probes eliminates any operator confusion, the menu-driven operational procedures - in compliance with standards - help to avoid errors and save time, and the instrument's large backlit display makes reading the instrument effortless in low light situation.
LONG LIFE OF WEARING PARTS
The typical service life of the Testo measurement cells is approximately three years. The Lithium Ion rechargeable batteries - free from the memory effect and total discharge - are currently unbeatable in terms of service life. The design layout of the gas paths along with an additional filter means that the gas pump is protected, thus increasing service life.
FAST, EFFICIENT AND ACCURATE
The testo 330 instruments offer rapid calibration - the capability to select the fuel at the same time means that the instrument can be ready to be used in just 30 seconds. When measuring differential pressure, differential temperature or gas flow rate the analyser will recognise the probe when it is connected and then display the corresponding measurement menu. In addition, the testo 330-2 supports a fast switch between measurement and maintenance as the probe can remain positioned in the flue during the zeroing phase of the measurement cells.
The flue gas probes have been designed to offer unparalleled usability and durability. Users will find day to day use of the probes straightforward thanks to features such as the probe handle, which is ergonomically designed for easy handling and positioning, and a probe design that requires little or no maintenance and can be easily cleaned. To meet a range of applications a wide selection of probe lengths and diameters are available and when changing the probe, the quick connection function ensures that all paths are connected correctly. The modular flue gas probes also feature a particle filter accommodated in the probe handle, which stops damaging particles from entering the gas pathways.
The ambient CO and CO2 probes are automatically recognised by the analyser which then selects the corresponding instrument menu. The analyser also allows the user to define an alarm limit which will sound an audible signal when the value is exceeded. And to make measurement tasks simpler CO and CO2 measurements can be carried out in conjunction with the flue gas measurement. The gas leak detection probe also has a user-defined audible alarm and is automatically recognised by the instrument, which can display the measurements in a trend graph.
THE RIGHT ACCESSORIES FOR EVERY APPLICATION
Also available is a new testo printer. The cordless, infrared printer saves data so the analyser transmits the data in two seconds and is ready for operation immediately after the data is transmitted. The testo 330 analyser software is developed to be easy to use. Data can be easily uploaded, filed and managed. When measuring online, it is also possible to control the analyser via the software.
