New Multiparameter Water Quality Meter From Waterra UK Gives Customers More Choice And Value
2 November 2009, News release from Waterra (UK) Limited
The new GPS Aquameter from Waterra UK provides a new standard in choice and value.
Combining high accuracy and sophisticated functions with ease of use, the GPS Aquameter allows customers to select up to 20 measurement parameters for fast, reliable, accurate and dependable water quality readings in the field.
The GPS Aquameter is a multi-parameter water quality meter, with integrated GPS and data logger, which has been purpose-designed and built in the UK for environmental monitoring of groundwater and surface water. It is an extremely robust and practical device, with an IP 67 waterproof case and IP 68 cable connectors. It is easy and intuitive to use within seconds of switch-on.
Ideal for use in all kinds of field conditions, the GPS Aquameter enables simultaneous measurement and logging of up to 20 water quality and related parameters.
In addition to measuring the water quality parameters that you would expect, such as temperature, electrical conductivity, pH and DO it also provides ORP, turbidity and GPS information, such as Ordnance Survey grid reference (GB), height above sea level and atmospheric pressure. For low flow groundwater sampling, a robust flow through cell is available.
Peter Dumble, Managing Director of Waterra UK commented, "I believe the GPS Aquameter is a real breakthrough for water quality monitoring by putting a wide range of functions and accurate measurements within a robust and stable instrument specifically designed for field use, and above all giving customers choice and value."
Customers can select the meter and probe to suit their specific requirements, avoiding the need to pay for parameters they will not use. Waterra UK offers a choice of 2 tough, easy-to-use, hand-held Aquameters and 8 high-accuracy, multi-parameter Aquaprobes to cover everything from basic pH or turbidity testing, right through to a comprehensive set of water quality measurements for environmental monitoring in the field. The probes are supplied calibrated, with software, carry case and a selection of solutions.
