Award-winning retrofit low-carbon technologies on display at NEMEX
7 February 2011, News release from NEMEX (part of Sustainabilitylive!)
Specialist in low carbon retrofit technologies, Energys Group, will be exhibiting its full range of energy-saving devices, including the award-winning 'Save It Easy' lighting converter, on stand S5 at NEMEX, the UK's leading energy and renewables event.
Repeat exhibitor, Energys has had its most successful year yet, delivering substantial financial savings and carbon reduction to a wide portfolio of public and private-sector clients of its retrofit products.
This includes award-winning projects at RNAS Yeovilton, Plymouth and Portsmouth City Councils, where Save It Easy - a retrofit device that allows T5 energy-efficient fluorescent lamps to be used with the existing light fittings - has been used to slash lighting energy use.
Visitors to the Energys stand at NEMEX, which takes place on 24-26 May 2011 at the Birmingham NEC, will also be able to view and discuss with the experts the rest of its range of low-carbon technologies.
In addition to Save It Easy, Energys has opened up the possibility for retrofit LED lighting options with the Save It Easy 2LED Replacement Lamp, which replaces 2D CFLs with LED equivalents in the existing fittings, cutting energy use and dramatically improving lamp lifespan.
Energys's boiler controls and power optimisation retrofit devices will also be on display at the stand. The Dynamic Burner Management Unit is designed to cut gas costs by approximately 15% and reduce the time that a boiler burns gas, without affecting the temperature of the building.
For power optimisation, E-box is a device that fits between the electricity supply and lighting distribution board, reducing voltage, improving power factor and smoothing harmonics to reduce electricity costs by approximately 40%.
Rounding off Energys's range is a Sound Survey that uses a digital probe to listen to pipework and machinery, identifying problems like gas and compressed air leaks, which can cost organisations up to £700 a year per 3mm hole, if left undetected.
Aidan Salter, Managing Director of Energys, comments: "NEMEX in Birmingham, where we will be exhibiting at stand S5, is an important opportunity to help organisations to understand the retrofit options available when aiming to boost their energy efficiency.
Products like Save It Easy can cut lighting energy consumption by up to 65%, while power optimisation, boiler controls and digital sound surveys can cut gas and electricity costs even further."
Energys experts will be on the stand throughout the exhibition to provide advice and guidance on how retrofit solutions can deliver significant energy savings, as well as reduced maintenance costs.
