AstraNet Systems Ltd design and manufacture a range of UV, visible and infrared spectrophotometers.
Their fibre-optic coupled sampling accessories make on-line and in-line measurement a simple and practical solution. With many applications in water and environmental analysis, including the UV 254nm analysis of organic pollution in water treatment, both standard and bespoke products have been supplied to resolve a wide range of applications.
See www.astranetsystems.com for details of some of the measurement challenges that have been overcome using these flexible instruments.

A new demountable flowcell from AstraNet Systems Ltd provides a low-cost method for in-line and on-line UV/VIS/NIR measurements in monitoring and process control systems.
AstraNet MD, Mike Mills, says: 'This is the lowest cost, demountable flowcell available with a range of pathlengths. It interfaces easily with programmable logic control (plc) systems, and there are cost and environmental benefits. Wastage of final products can be reduced through improved control of manufacturing processes and adherence to permitted discharge limits is facilitated.'
Forming part of AstraNet's effluent monitoring and process control systems, the flowcell connects to the StellarNet range of fibre optic coupled spectrometers simply via AMA 905 screw connectors. Being low maintenance and made from inert materials to withstand aggressive chemicals, it has many applications in the factory, field and laboratory. The new flowcell is already enabling a Manchester-based chemical manufacturing company to monitor effluents cost-effectively.
AstraNet Systems Ltd, a specialist supplier to the UK spectroscopy market, has an expert team providing unprecedented levels of technical support.
