Atlas Copco showcases expanded ZS low pressure blower range at IWEX 2012
30 April 2012, News release from Atlas Copco Compressors
Stand E19 IWEX 2012 NEC, Birmingham 22nd-24th May 2012
On stand E19 at IWEX 2012, Atlas Copco Compressors will be exhibiting a wide array of energy efficient blower technologies for the water and effluent treatment industry, including the latest additions to the company's ZS range of oil-free, positive displacement screw blowers.
Also, and of special interest to waste water plant operators, will be Atlas Copco's expanded low pressure blower range which is the result of the company's acquisition of HSI (Houston Service Industries). HSI is a leading manufacturer of multi-stage centrifugal blowers incorporating traditional low-pressure technology and Atlas Copco's acquisition of the company means it can now offer its customers an even broader spectrum of energy efficient wastewater treatment technologies.
Recognising that the aeration blower systems within municipal and industrial waste water treatment plants account for up to 70 per cent of energy usage, products on show will include the new ZS22 from Atlas Copco's expanded ZS range of rotary screw blowers. Designed to meet today's low carbon economy needs, Atlas Copco's ZS screw blower technology is on average 30 per cent more energy efficient when compared to conventional lobe low-pressure solutions.
Additionally, visitors to the stand can talk to representatives from Atlas Copco about how their specific water and effluent treatment needs can be met with Atlas Copco's complete portfolio of oil-free blower and compressor solutions for applications and processes.
The range includes 300-900kW integrally geared centrifugal blowers, 3-260kW high-speed turbo blowers, as well as 75-2600 kW multistage centrifugal blowers and 7-160 kW rotary screw VSD blowers - all complemented with a choice of air treatment and air management systems. And, to ensure maximum running efficiency and minimum site downtime, Atlas Copco Compressors' sales and distribution network provides specialist compressed air advice and support service for the specific requirements and discrete applications within the water industry. It is available to operators 24/7 from a fleet of over 80 service engineers located across the UK.
