The National Laboratory Service (NLS) sponsors European Water and Wastewater Management Conference
1 July 2009, News release from National Laboratory Service
The National Laboratory Service (NLS) is sponsoring this year's European Water and Wastewater Management Conference.
The NLS is the main sponsor of the Birmingham-based conference and is set to use the event to demonstrate its capabilities throughout both the water and wastewater industries.
As well as sponsoring the event, the NLS will also be hosting a dedicated workshop during the conference programme - which will focus on the use of Microbial Dest Tracking (MST) to pinpoint the sources of pollution. The workshop will be presented by senior NLS scientist, Doctor Jonathan Porter, who has worked as a molecular microbial ecologist for the last 15 years and is author of 28 refereed research papers in the field of Microbial Ecology.
The NLS sponsorship of the EWWMC runs in-line with exciting new plans for the laboratory service - including new branding and a recently re-launched website - in order to demonstrate its commercial aspirations.
This is the third year for the annual EWWMC, which is run by exhibition hosts - Aqua Enviro Technology Transfer.
Ian Rippin, commercial director of the NLS, said: "In supporting this event, the NLS is demonstrating to customers of water and wastewater analysis that we are the most competent analytical supplier within the industry.
"We continue to attract business through delivering the best service in the industry and we would challenge anyone to match our delivery performance.
"With a dedicated water laboratory in Devon and a wastewater laboratory in Nottingham, this conference is the perfect forum for us to demonstrate our capabilities. We very much look forward to supporting Aqua Enviro in delivering this excellent annual event."
The EWWMC will take place on Tuesday, September 22 and Wednesday, September 23, at the Think Tank in Birmingham.
