£150m boost for green tax credits scheme

Dr Richard Sills, chief executive of ENTRUST, the regulatory body for the scheme, said, “I am delighted that the scheme is able to boast this tremendous figure, the funds are currently increasingly daily with over £11m being donated since January of this year. The increase in the landfill tax from £7 to £10 per tonne, announced in the budget, means the scheme has potentially a further £20 million a year available for donation from landfill operators.
