Draeger wins Southern Water with Total Solution
Southern Water Services Limited has awarded a three-year contract worth in the region of £500,000 to Draeger Safety UK, Gas Detection Systems. Covering the replacement, maintenance and calibration of all Southern Water's fixed gas detection systems, the Framework Agreement will also ensure compliance with all current legislation. Draeger was one of four companies to bid for the contract which was governed by EU legislation and awarded on 4 May, 2004.
VICHEM ensures that its expertise doesn’t go to waste
Thanks to VICHEM's revolutionary thermal oxidation system called pulvaporization, the French company makes it possible to treat gaseous or liquid waste with very high viscosity, while maintaining dioxins and nitrogen oxides at a very low level in the process, thus benefiting the environment. VICHEM specialises in the design, installation and commissioning of turnkey units for waste treatment and will be showcasing its technology at various trade fairs to be held in Central & Eastern Europe as well as China in the autumn. The company is seeking local partners.
Insufficient funds could foil Ken’s waste plans
The Mayor of London's recent suggestions for treating and reusing non-recyclable waste material are a positive move forward, but insufficient funds could prevent the plans from taking their full effect, according to the Association of London Government (ALG).
