New powers for London Mayor give clear steer for environment
Ken Livingstone may not have quite got the independent city state he jokingly claimed to have wanted, but Westminster proposals giving more self governance to the capital will transfer a raft of new powers to the Mayor and Greater London Authority, many of which will impact on environmental policy.
Web-based archiving improves productivity
Saftronics, which specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of low voltage switchboards, motor control centres, PLC-based control and SCADA systems to the utilities sector, has developed a web-based system that allows companies to archive, track, audit and better manage software changes Called SafDest, the service enables users to easily access relevant control codes and application changes safely, securely and remotely.
Integration remains key
Wallingford Software says that its new InfoWorks WS v7.5 package, being released soon, will "contain many exciting new additions to the leading water network management solution". The release is part of the regular schedule of twice-yearly updates of the company's frontline product portfolio.
