All aboard for the Air Quality Roadshow
6 July 2007, News release from Enviro Technology Services Plc
Enviro Technology will be holding their first ever Air Quality Roadshow at Tower Bridge in London from 8.00am - 4.00pm on Thursday July 12th.
The roadshow, which will showcase the latest vehicle and ambient emissions monitoring technology, will be the first of its kind that the company has held in the capital.
London has been chosen as the first city to stage the roadshow following the announcement of the launch of the London Low Emissions Zone scheme (starting in February 2008), and also due to the success of the company's 'Accuscan' vehicle emissions monitoring demonstrations earlier this year.
Says Operations Director, Duncan Mounsor: "Many local authorities and organisations that have attended our Accuscan demonstrations had expressed an interest in seeing the latest ambient monitoring technology and software in action. Ever the company to respond to customer demand, we are now bringing it to them.
"Ambient air quality monitoring has come on in leaps and bounds over recent years. In terms of value-for-money, we have looked at financial comparisons and are now able to show customers just how cost-effective more modern technologies, such as open path monitoring, are compared to more traditional methods."
Ambient analysers that will be demonstrated include the OPSIS Open Path ambient monitoring system, the recently MCERTS approved SM200 PM10 Dust Analyser and a selection of gas analysers. These analysers will be based in the car park of the Tower Hotel and will be monitoring air pollution levels over the River Thames.
Inside the Tower Hotel the company will be demonstrating their brand new ET DataWeb broadband internet data capture system as well as their bespoke content managed Airquality.com website.
As at previous demonstrations, the Accuscan remote sensing device for exhaust emissions will be testing all vehicles passing over Tower Bridge.
"What we're aiming to show those interested in vehicle and ambient air pollution is that total system integration is truly possible. We'll be demonstrating cost-effective instruments and software that not only make financial sense, but can also dramatically reduce associated operator time - two key issues for our clients!" concludes Duncan.
