Continue to contentCarbon Control Software was created in response to the perceived need for providing a solution to rising emissions from the IT sector and from IT equipment across all sectors. New research shows that computers generate an estimated 35 million tons of the gas each year . Gartner, the international information technology research company, estimates that globally the IT industry accounts for around 3 per cent of carbon dioxide emissions – more than the aviation industry.
The aim of Carbon Control Software is to reduce the amount of carbon emissions produced by an organisation through the efficient utilisation of energy used to operate computer systems, thus allowing organisations a simple solution which allows them to both reduce their overall energy consumption whilst still maintaining maximum productivity levels.
Carbon Control Software (CCS) is an energy usage monitoring tool which regulates an organisation’s IT systems to help reduce energy wastage, CO2 emissions, and energy costs via the utilisation of set policies. Specifically aimed at creating a greener working environment, CCS will record all PC activity types from Active to Offline recording the energy consumption and when energy policies were applied to help reduce carbon dioxide emissions. This data can then be retrieved and viewed through the Report Monitor component of the software in a graphical representation form. This reporting function is a key feature of the software as it allows an organisation to review their performance internally but also demonstrate to the wider world the positive steps they are taking to reduce their impact upon the environment.
An organisation using Carbon Control Software can expect to see energy consumption savings of around 40%, however in some situations the results have been much higher. As such an organisation using the software can benefit from an increase in their green credentials as well as a decrease in their energy bills, thus making Carbon Control Software an extremely viable commercial proposition.
As an entity Carbon Control software is comprised of a group of dedicated and talented individuals. Our technical team has the experience and ability to continue to provide innovative advancements in the field of IT power management. We are a recognised leader in the field of CO2 reduction and energy conservation and have been invited into consultation at a national government level with key decision makers.
Carbon Control Software aims to be the leading provider of carbon reduction and energy saving IT technology and expertise to organisations worldwide. We are committed to reducing global carbon emissions from computer use. We give organisations the opportunity to change their IT working practices and reduce their carbon footprint without resorting to offsetting.
