FREE Birmingham Energy Seminar: Uninterruptible Power Supply – Protecting the Future

On Wednesday, 17 January 2018, Powerstar is hosting a free to attend breakfast seminar at the Best Western Westley Hotel in Birmingham which will provide the perfect platform to explore the transition to a decentralised energy network, including the importance of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), in the future energy landscape with industry experts over breakfast and a cup of coffee.

Decentralised or distributed energy networks are the opposite of the UK’s current, traditional centralised network provided by the National Grid. It refers to the process of utilising connected microgrids to generate local energy and maximise on renewables and energy efficiency.

This concept of a decentralised network, along with UPS, is continuously gaining momentum due to increasing fears over the resilience of the supply in the UK. Harsh statistics have shown that blackouts or brownouts are becoming more frequent, with a staggering 46% increase recorded in 2016 compared to the number of occurrences in 2015.

Join Powerstar to discuss predictions for the future energy landscape based on recent research, government announcements and events in the news. Discover how investment into smart systems will help decentralisation become a reality in the UK, enabling energy sources to be more effective, secure and efficient.
