Free energy breakfast seminar in Sheffield: energy resilience – how energy storage can protect your business from costly failures

On Wednesday 28 February, Powerstar is hosting a free to attend seminar over breakfast and refreshments at its head office in Sheffield. This short and focused seminar will explore the effects that a lack of energy resilience can have on an organisation and what solutions can protect businesses from costly supply issues.

What?

By attending this free seminar, delegates will be informed of the current restrictions and limitations on the UK electricity supply network and the ever-increasing demand it faces. Delegates will learn the impact that energy related failures can have on an organisation and the technologies available to improve energy resilience.

Join industry leading experts in Sheffield to understand what’s causing strain on the national grid, how it can be supported to increase reliability and how your business can protect against costly loss of power with uninterruptible power supply (UPS).

In addition to this, guests will explore the following topics:

·         How costly energy related failures can be identified and avoided

·         The limitations of the current electricity network and its effect on energy resilience

·         The role of energy storage technology in energy resilience

·         The requirement for a complete solution to add security to the supply

Why?

Continued growth in demand on the electricity network in the UK and no sign of it letting up in the future, as the UK becomes an ever-advanced technology reliant economy, has led to the UK’s energy network struggling to match supply with demand.

As a result of this, supply issues are becoming more common and causing a multitude of issues for businesses nationwide who are experiencing blackouts, brownouts, and voltage spikes and dips. Supply issues leading complete loss of power can have serious ramifications on a business's costs, reputation and equipment. Between 2015 and 2016 the increase in blackouts and brownouts was recorded to have experienced a staggering 46% growth. Due to supply issues becoming more frequent and the significant costs and disruption they can cause, organisations are taking steps to ensure that they implement new technologies and procedures to secure their supply.
