ADAS emissions cuts praised by CDP

Environmental consultants ADAS are well on target to reduce their emissions by 10% by 2015, according to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).

The CDP has rated Adas as ‘well above average’ for achievements including cutting combined scope 1&2 emissions by 5% between 2009 and 2010.

As well as pulling down total scope 1&2 emissions per £1k/turnover from 0.041 to 0.036 tons per CO2 in the same period.

ADAS director of sustainability, Richard Laverick, said: “We are delighted with the result as it reflects the effort and focus we have placed on understanding the business impacts of climate change.

“The report includes analysis covering areas as diverse as leadership, governance, risk assessment as well as emissions reporting.”
