AECOM scoops CDP contract

The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) has awarded technical management provider AECOM a contract to work on its 2012 cities report.

As part of the partnership, AECOM will provide data analysis, communications and visualisation techniques to support CDP’s cities programme, which aims to offer a voluntary disclosure platform on climate change related activities for municipal governments worldwide.

CDP head of cities programme Cono Riffle said that AECOM was selected as a result of its analytical capabilities, design and visualisation skills and expertise in working with cities around the world on climate change issues.

AECOM chairman and chief executive officer John Dionisio, said: “AECOM recognises the importance of cities in meeting global challenges, especially as urban population growth accelerates and increases demands on municipal services and the need to manage resources in a sustainable manner.”
