Impressionist and part-time environmental campaigner Alistair McGowan is to play host at edie’s awards in November.
While better known for his TV and stand up work, Mr McGowan is also committed to environmental concerns and has used his own celebrity to raise the profile of issues such as the need for conservation and our responsibility to dispose of our waste in a sustainable way.
He is an ambassador for WWF-UK, launched the Big Recycle campaign and is patron of the Trees for Cities charity.
The edie Awards for Environmental Excellence seek to highlight the good work being done by those whose job it is to make the world a cleaner, greener place.
Full details of the awards can be found here.
