These pilot grants will capitalise revolving loan funds that will, in turn, send money to eligible public or private borrowers to conduct cleanup activities at brownfields sites.

The Brownfields Cleanup Revolving Loan Funds Pilot programme enables eligible states, cities, towns, counties, US Territories and tribes to cleanup and sustainably reuse brownfields.

Eligible entities for pilots must have been awarded EPA Brownfields Assessment Demonstration Pilots prior to October 1, 1999.

Eligible entities may also be political subdivisions (such as cities, towns, counties, or tribes) that have either 1) been the subject of a targeted brownfields assessment, or 2) been selected by the EPA, prior to Jan. 1, 1999, to be the subject of a targeted brownfields assessment.

Proposals must be postmarked no later than March 8, 1999.
