Whatever your current ESOS compliance status, it is what happens next that really matters. If acted upon, your ESOS audit could be a golden ticket to huge energy savings. Take a look at Salford Royal Hospital, which – on ESOS deadline day – revealed it will slash £1.9m from its annual energy bill thanks to a new energy efficiency programme.

Elsewhere this week, we’ve seen a flurry of ambitious sustainability initiatives – from Heathrow trialling zero-emission driverless cars and Easyjet developing a hybrid ‘plane of the future’ through to Lidl going 100% sustainable with its bananas and The Body Shop turning greenhouse gases into packaging.
Proof, if we ever needed it, that the green industrial revolution is really starting to motor.
