Botswana waste policy

The small quantities of hazardous waste produced in Botswana mean that the country does not need to employ expensive waste technologies, according to a Government minister.


The Botswana Parliament has recently discussed waste management, with Local Government Minister, Margaret Nasha, stating that private sector involvement is being encouraged and hazardous waste is not a pressing concern.
