Cambodia plans to return toxic waste to Taiwan
Cambodia has announced it will send nearly 3,000 tons of suspected toxic waste back to Taiwan.
Legal proceedings have begun to return the waste which was imported from Taiwan and dumped at a site outside Cambodia’s southern port town of Sihanoukville earlier this month. Environment officials suspect the waste may include lead, zinc or mercury.
