Two men are planning to drive from the UK to Timbuktu, in West Africa, powered by waste chocolate.

Andy Pag, 34, from London, and John Grimshaw, 39, from Poole, hope to travel more than 4,500 miles using a specially-prepared biodiesel fuel.

The fuel, made from recycled cooking oil and waste chocolate, has been developed by Preston-based biodiesel producers Ecotec.

The expedition, which begins on November 26, aims to raise awareness of how biofuels can help to cut carbon emissions.
