Cork City waste collection contract goes to local firm
Cork City Council has awarded its waste collection contract to Country Clean Recycling who will take over kerbside services in the city from August.
Country Clean Recycling is a family-run business also based in Cork. It was previously awarded with the contract for the county council.
Commenting on the deal, the company’s financial controller, Denis Murphy, said: “We look forward to reducing charges to standard customers along with rolling out additional free new services to the city’s loyal customer base in the very near future.”
Country Clean Recycling employs 120 staff over three company locations, and hosts a fleet of 45 waste collection vehicles which serve the Munster area.
