Edie reported on 28 September that there is no central register for Packaging Recovery Notes (PRNs) that records which companies PRNs are being awarded to. However, according to the Environment Agency, this is not the case. The Agency issues PRNs to accredited reprocessors, and each has a unique serial number which provides exact details of the type of waste and its weight. This data his held by the Environment Agency and is passed on to the Government.
