Deadline looms for international environmental media awards

Founded by Reuters Foundation, the educational arm of the Reuters news and information group, and the World Conservation Union, the media awards aim to raise the standards in environmental issues coverage.

A global winner will be chosen, along with nine regional winners. The global winner will be entitled to a three-month Reuters Foundation Fellowship to study at Oxford University and the regional winners will be offered places on Reuters Foundation environmental journalism workshops. Tuition, travel and accommodation costs are covered by the awards.
