More than 190 world leaders will descend on Scotland’s biggest city in just 48 hours’ time, along with tens of thousands of business leaders, environmental experts and climate activists from across the globe – for what is the most important UN meeting since the formation of the Paris Agreement at COP21 in 2015.
But if COP21 was about the ‘what’, COP26 is about the ‘how’. The talks will centre on how global economies can reduce carbon emissions to net-zero, with a particular focus on the key areas of carbon markets, green finance, and climate adaptation and resilience. With so many discussions and events happening throughout the two-week summit, edie is on-hand to help our core audience of sustainability and energy leaders keep track of it all.
