edie launches Mission Possible Plastics Hub to help businesses solve plastic pollution
edie has today (15 January) launched the Mission Possible Plastics Hub - a brand-new, content-driven campaign that will support sustainability and resource efficiency professionals on our collective mission to eliminate single-use plastics.
The launch of the new Hub, which is inspired by edie’s ongoing Mission Possible campaign, kicks off a week-long series of editorial action that will include exclusive interviews, podcasts, webinars and in-depth feature articles – all dedicated to turning the tide on single-use plastics.
In addition to hosting content that supports businesses with their single-use plastics phase-outs, the Mission Possible Plastics Hub will be encouraging sustainability professionals to submit new commitments to tackle plastic pollution on the Mission Possible Pledge Wall.
Commenting on the new Hub, edie’s content editor Matt Mace said: “Plastics captured the imagination and awareness of the public in a way that no other sustainability issue has been able to. We are witnessing a revolt against single-use plastics and any business remotely concerned with the green agenda should have made a commitment of sorts in this area.
“However, ambition is not enough. We want to spur the action of business in reducing, replacing and eliminating single-use plastics. The new Mission Possible Plastics Hub not only enables readers to examine, compare and track commitments, it also offers advice and inspiration to drive this resource revolution. I’d like to invite all businesses to commit to our Plastics Hub.”
