Edie shortlisted for national award
The edie team is celebrating after being shortlisted for Digital Brand of the Year at the Independent Publisher Awards 2011.
The awards recognise excellence in independent publishing and are open to publications, websites, brands, companies and individuals with a turnover of £10m or below. In particular, those selected must demonstrate a “dynamic contribution to the publishing industry” and “entrepreneurial spirit”.
The awards are administered by the Professional Publishers Association (PPA) and judged by a panel of senior representatives from the magazine publishing industry.
“It’s a real achievement and a real honour to be recognised in this way,” said edie.net publisher Angela Himus. “As an independent publisher we work incredibly hard to ensure we serve our readers and our markets in the best way possible, by producing quality content that’s relevant, targeted and helps them to operate their business better. To have those standards and that hard work recognised by a national awards scheme is a fantastic boost and a credit to the entire team.”
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on December 6.
