edie’s next webinar: Driving transport towards net-zero with EVs

The continuing challenge around the transition to electric vehicles (EVs) and achieving a 'net zero' transport future forms the basis for edie's new free webinar, which will take place on 22 October.

edie’s next webinar: Driving transport towards net-zero with EVs

The webinar will take place on Tuesday 22 October at 11am and will be available to watch

Sponsored by Centrica Business Solutions, this one-hour webinar, called Driving Business Towards Net Zero, is due to be held on 22 October at 11am. The free webinar breaks down exactly how businesses can transition to EVs in a way that is scalable for its operations, and also will go into detail about how the charging infrastructure will be required to appease grid demand and deliver a net-zero-carbon future nationally and commercially.

The webinar will include experts from the EV sector who will go into detail about the various challenges and opportunities for the sector, including the UK Government’s Road to Zero Strategy, which presents an opportunity for businesses to accelerate the transition to fully-electric vehicles.

This one-hour webinar will explore the role of businesses and the public sector is in achieving a ‘net-zero’ future for transport and overcoming the fears of range anxiety, charging infrastructure, vehicle purchasing and energy needs.

It will also include an opportunity for listeners to ask questions directly to industry experts on their own electric vehicle strategies – and how to accelerate them to ensure sustainability targets are met as we speed up towards a net-zero future.

The webinar comes as the nation’s EV revolution is well underway: almost three times as many EVs were registered in July 2019 than in the same month of 2018, whilst new diesel car registrations were down by 22% over the same period.

For business, this revolution represents a huge environmental and financial opportunity. But making the switch to EVs is often easier said than done and this webinar aims to help those businesses requiring assistance in developing their transport fleets in a way that is fit for the 21st century.

Speakers for the webinar will be announced in due course. If you are an end-user business interested in taking part, please email newsdesk@fav-house.com. You can register for the webinar here, and it will be available to watch, on demand, afterwards.
