From Environmental Leadership through to Innovative Water Management and Sustainability Communications, the strength of entrants for the Environment & Energy Awards are a true reflection of how issues surrounding sustainability have become widely engrained in business cultures, with previous winners including the Environment Agency, Marks & Spencer, EDF Energy.
This year, the standard was higher than ever. An esteemed panel of judges, which includes industry experts from Global Action Plan, Forum for the Future and WRAP, whittled down hundreds of entries to 67 finalists across 11 categories.
A 12th category – the Outstanding Contribution to the Energy Industry award – celebrates an ‘outstanding personality who has excelled in their business life over the past five years’. Instead of the usual entry process, the award-winner for this category will be specifically selected by the judges based on their esteemed professional knowledge within this sector.
Winners will be unveiled at an awards ceremony at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham on 22 April, 2015.
