Environmental footprints at SB

NQA joins a host of high-level speakers taking part in the Sustainable Business conference at Sustainabilitylive!.

NQA is a leading assessment, verification and certification body, which works in partnership with a wide range of businesses, government departments and charities to help improve performance in quality, environment and health and safety management.

The head of the organisation, Catherine Golds, will give delegates as insight into her work when she speaks on the Sustainable Business conference panel.

Ms Golds will be addressing ‘Environmental footprints: Mapping, measuring and managing your impacts’ session from an environmental management perspective, looking at the structure and methodology of Environmental Management Systems (EMS).

She will discuss how an EMS is used to manage environmental impact, through resources used, highlighting the largest impact and identifying effects that an organisation may not have even considered, in addition to the management of waste.

As well as examining how EMS helps an organisation capture data and use it to establish targets to reduce environmental impacts.

She will also be using client case studies to illustrate organisations that have effectively used environmental management systems and achieved proven benefits.

She said: “Sustainabilitylive! is the largest environment, energy and sustainability conference in the UK and NQA is pleased to be involved in such an engaging, topical and significant event.

“The scale of the Sustainable Business conference demonstrates that environmental issues are now high on the corporate agenda.”

NQA is also sponsoring the Environmental Leadership Award for Cultural Change at the Environment and Energy Awards, the winners of which are announced at Sustainabilitylive!.

Ms Golds will be joining the conference panel between 1.30pm and 2.20pm on Tuesday April 20.
