Firms invited to apply for start-up help

The South East Enterprise Platform Programme (SEEPP), is seeking applications for the next programme which will start in September.

SEEPP, which has helped more than 140 start-ups since setting up in 1998, will provide a range of business services and advice to people who pass their interview stage.

The scheme provides business management and development training, incubation facilities and a business address, mentoring and networking opportunities.

In 2006, two participants in the SEEPP scheme provided environmental advice to schools.

Ellicro Environment Care, placed Reverse Vending Machines, an alternative to traditional bottle and can recycling facilities in various schools.

Mecon Water Management helped schools cut down their water usage by 25% with water meters.
