Foundation offers funding for climate change projects

The Norwegian based NGO, the Minor Foundation for Major Challenges, is offering funding for projects aimed at limiting human created global problems.

This year, the Foundation has approximately 1.5 million Norwegian Kroner (US$165,000) available for projects. Any scheme whose objective is to influence public opinion and change attitudes to these problems is eligible for support, although the organisation is particularly interested in assisting innovative, experimental, untested ideas. “We are, in principle, willing to take risks, and will concentrate on projects that would be difficult to realise without our assistance,” says the Foundation.

The deadline for applications for 2001 is 1 September. Application forms can be found on the organisation’s website.
