A Welsh company has received a £20,000 Millennium Award for paper made from sheep droppings.
Creative Paper Wales makes its Sheep Poo Paper products by collecting the dung from the Snowdonian mountains, sterilising it and recovering the fibres it contains.
The novel take on waste management is not the only environmental benefit of the scheme – the waste water from the process is returned to local growers who use it to feed their crops.
