Registration is now open for the forum

In 2017, experts identified six key milestones – across energy, transport, land use, industry, infrastructure, and finance – that mankind must hit by 2020 in order to get a grip on global warming once and for all. They called this the ‘climate turning point’.

Taking place 4-5 February 2020, at the Business Design Centre, London edie’s 2020 Sustainability Leaders Forum is all about chasing the positive and reaching the climate turning point.

The flagship, multi-award-winning event unites business leaders and sustainability decision-makers from the world’s largest companies, along with climate experts, policymakers, NGOs and investors to ignite a decade of business transformation. Offering two-days full of inspirational talks, high-level panel discussions, interactive experiences, collaborative workshops and unique networking opportunities – this is THE event that will inspire professionals of all levels to chase the positive and drive much-needed change.

If you book before Friday (18 October) you can save £200 on your ticket. Detailed here: https://event.edie.net/forum/book/.

The forum features key speeches, insights and sessions with Mary Robinson President Mary Robinson Foundation Climate Justice, Rebecca Marmot chief sustainability officer Unilever, Gilbert Ghostine chief executive Firmenich, Tom Szaky chief executive TerraCycle, Jim Skea co-chair working group III IPCC amongst others.

Plus, directors and senior managers from Interface, Vattenfall, John Lewis, Taylor Wimpey, Aviva, Pret A Manger, Pernod Ricard, LEGO Group, M&S, Diageo, Tesco, WSP, BASF, Mondelēz and more will be providing insight and inspiration during keynotes, breakout sessions, panel discussion and workshops.

A pre-event workshop on 3 February titled: “Financing the transformation: How to align sustainability reporting” will also take place.

This workshop, starting with a panel discussion of senior financial professionals followed by an interactive roundtable exercise, will explore the biggest drivers, challenges and opportunities that businesses face when it comes to bridging the sustainable finance gap. From understanding climate-related financial impacts and establishing the ESG factors that are material for your business; through to gathering and presenting data in a way that meets investor needs – the session will equip delegates with the information, insight and inspiration they need to accelerate the flow of capital towards a sustainable future.
