The European Court of Justice has declared that Italy failed to adopt, within the prescribed time limit, all laws, regulations and administrative provisions necessary to conform to Directive 2001/42/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, relating to the assessment of the effects of certain plans and programmes on the environment.
