ISO 50001

DEFINITION:  An internationally recognised standard for energy management systems. The Standard sets out a set of inter-related or interactive elements to establish an energy policy and objectives and the processes and procedures to achieve those objectives. It is formal, documented management system which can be used by an organisation to establish and maintain a continuous level of energy performance improvements.
