Xodus Group continues to grow its support offering to the energy industry and we now have a need for an experienced consultant to join our Environment team. Working within our busy Environmental Impact Assessment team, you will provide support to a suite of marine and nearshore/onshore projects, including cables and interconnectors, wet renewables and offshore wind. You may also use your skills to support our work with the oil and gas industry. With a solid background in consenting of such projects and a working knowledge of all associated legislation derived from your time in consultancy, you will help undertake and prepare Environmental Impact Assessments (including screening and scoping reports), Marine Licence applications, Section 36 applications, assessment of impacts on protected sites, European Protected Species Risk Assessments and various other relevant documentation. Where your technical ability excels in a particular area, we would expect you to become an internal Subject Matter Expert.
You will support project managers on a day to day basis, and also take the opportunity to regularly lead projects. It is expected that you will be familiar with client and stakeholder engagement, or be keen and able to quickly learn.
