KENYA: Disease kills cattle as drought continues

At least 1,000 head of cattle have died in Kenya, near the Tanzanian border. Although the area is stricken with drought, the deaths are being blamed on disease.

The Pan African News Agency reports that residents believe the disease to have spread from Tanzania. An estimated 1,000 adult cattle have died, and the number of dead calves is not known.
