Crossland Tankers is displaying a newly developed product-an articulated bitumen tanker. Also on the stand is an articulated vacuum tanker, which will be delivered to Viridor Waste Management following the show, and a rigid milk tanker.
Crossland Tankers designs, manufactures, refurbishes and repairs road tankers for the waste, industrial, chemical, food and milk markets.

A new Report Writer software module being demonstrated at CV Show 2004 is the final spoke in cfc solutions’s progressive “hub” fleet management strategy.
The Report Writer module is intended to run alongside Data Management and Customer Relationship modules launched last year, all connected to cfc’s core FleetPlus fleet management package, designed for medium-to-large fleets.

A hub system takes in data feeds from many fleet sources – such as leasing company data, fuel, service and maintenance information – and sets the system up so that only information that requires management attention is highlighted.

Fundamentally, the Data Management module allows data from any source to be imported into the system. The CRM module lets fleet managers put in place the parameters by which they want to run their fleet, and the Report Writer generates documents that show any elements that falls outside of these parameters.

A new module is also being launched by cfc solutions at CV Show 2004 with a comprehensive range of features designed especially for companies that specialise in the HGV leasing market. The HGV Management Module is designed to handle the entire leasing process of multi-asset commercial vehicles, including: generating quotes for potential customers, the management of the life of the vehicle, and its eventual disposal.

Partek Cargotec is introducing two new models to supplement the HIAB XS range, a product range which has been developed to focus on productivity
The new XS 288 is Hiab’s latest response to the growing demand for truck cranes in the 25-to 30-tonne-metre class. HIAB XS 422 is the latest top of the range crane in the 40-tonne-metre range offering up to 8 hydraulic extensions and more than 21 metres of hydraulic outreach. Both cranes come with “X-feature” which enables the outer boom to be “reverse folded” allowing lifting through doorways and other areas with low entry.

The new Multilift XR range, automatic Easycover sheeting system and integrated weighing system are the latest innovations in the Multilift product range. The XR range comes in four capacity classes with 2, 3, 5 and 7 tonne lifting capacity. Multilift Easycover represents the latest technology in its field providing an automatic load covering system without the need of having side-arms.

Three on-board weighing systems feature on Maywood On Board’s stand, – the recently developed Tipweigh™ system, the Tiploader™ and the sophisticated Loadwatcher™.

The Tipweigh™ system, designed and developed last year for the Light Tipping sector is attracting considerable interest among many local councils, who operate numerous 3.5 tonne tippers for a wide number of uses including refuse collection involving a variety of materials. The system will allow the operator to load up to the maximum permitted limit, providing rapid payback through improved efficiency and avoiding fines. The equipment is accurate to ± one percent, comes with a two-year warranty and is available as a retrofit or as original equipment.
Maywood on Board is a trading division of PM Onboard Ltd.

Heil Europe is exhibiting its new “Eurocycler” body at this year’s CV Show.
The Eurocycler is a two stream, semi-automated recycling unit that has been operating successfully with contractors and municipalities in the US for almost 10 years.

A split container on both sides of the body allows the simultaneous separation and dumping of recyclables into the body chambers from either side. The Eurocycler has a body length of 7.7 metres and a capacity of 25.3m3, which is split 11.6m3 in the top compartment, and 13.7m3 in the bottom.

Cushioned cylinders ensure a smoother, quieter operation while other benefits include Heil’s dual swing link action packing mechanism, which gives minimal glass breakage.

TIP Tanker Services and RVS Refuse Vehicle Services are exhibiting at this year’s CV Show. On the stand RVS is displaying a Heil Powertrac 22, and TIP is showing a Feldbinder 36m3 non-tip powder tanker.

Part of the GE Capital group of companies, TIP and RVS offer a wide choice of specialist vehicles-ranging from rear-end loaders to 6,000 gallon vacuum semi-trailers.

Customers can benefit from flexible finance options, from one day spot hire, through to leasing and contract hire packages, with a choice of the level of back up services required.

Among the product displays on the Volvo stand is an FH16 6×2 tractor unit which will be set up with full-stepped access to the cab, thus enabling most visitors to the stand to have a closer look at the high-specification driver workspace of the Globetrotter XL cab.
