Winter attachments aid council in tackling snow and ice
With predictions of a cold winter to come in the UK and Ireland, the Bobcat® range of winter attachments provides local authorities and their suppliers and contractors with the a customised solution for clearing snow and ice. From snow blowers and blades, buckets and sweepers for snow, to more specialist tools such as the Bobcat® super scraper and salt and sand spreader, attachments are available for rental and council fleets.
The company's range of snowblowers now features a new valve block mounted directly on the fan motor, resulting in minimal reduction of hydraulic pressure and reducing the number of hydraulic hoses and elbows on the snowblower. Featuring a rotating chute and deflector to point the snow in any direction, there are three snow blower models with several different widths to operate with the Bobcat® tool carrier.
The Bobcat® snow blade is a tool for quickly removing light or moderate snow from pavements and driveways. The hydraulically-operated snow V-blades, available in five widths from 1,520 to 2,740 mm, can be used in five different blade configurations - as a V-blade, scoop blade, straight blade and 30° left or 30° right angle blade - providing far more versatility than a standard snow blade or snow bucket. Other attachments include a choice of six snow buckets and, for the removal of light snowfalls, an angle broom.
The Bobcat® SP125 salt and sand spreader attachment is designed for use with the Toolcat Utility Work Machine.
Bobcat is part of the Compact Vehicle Technologies Sector of diversified industrial firm, Ingersoll-Rand Company Limited (IR).
