Carlton Recycling has purchased a Heil Big Bite to enhance its existing fleet and expand its customer base. The new Big Bite is the first rear-end loader supplied by Heil Europe. It will be used for the collection of cardboard and paper for recycling.

Lincolnshire-based Carlton is an independent company providing a collection service to businesses. Paul Appleyard, director of Carlton, says: “We specified the Big Bite with the comb bin lift because of its 31m3 capacity. It has since exceeded our expectation by carrying a massive 9 tonnes of paper and cardboard waste material, and now enables us to service customers from 240 litre wheelie bins up to 16 cubic. yard skips all with one vehicle.”

The new Big Bite has been fitted with an on-board weighing system for greater measurability. All weights are recorded, allowing customers to monitor the amounts of waste being recycled.
