Off-the-peg AQ website for local authorities

Enviro Technology Services plc has introduced a new website package that will enable local authorities to meet the increasing general public interest in air quality simply and economically.

Designed to provide information on air quality in general and also to show up-to-the hour local data, the package has various options, including site hosting, in order to provide a resource relevant to the local authority needs. An illustrative website – www.airqualitydata.com – is on-line, disseminating data obtained from an air quality monitoring station located at the company’s head office in Stroud, Gloucestershire.

Pollutants monitored include oxides of nitrogen (NOx), sulphur dioxide (SO2), ozone (O3), carbon monoxide (CO), volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and particulate matter (PM10). Meteorological parameters such as wind direction, wind speed, temperature, relative humidity, pressure and solar radiation are also displayed.
The software package allows the data provided to be plotted on a graph and printed-out whilst schools, scientists or those with a special interest in air quality can register for email pollution updates to be sent to them automatically.
