On the MP Production UK stand at CIWM Torbay the new range of Piktou urban vacuums was given its UK debut.

The powerful vacuum is stated to be able to pick up a full 1.5 litre bottle plus the ability to handle wet or dry waste with ease.

There is choice of engine – quiet petrol or gas and a near silent electric model.
The 240 litre waste container is easily detachable and can be fitted with a bin liner.

Scarab Sweepers, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, marked another milestone at the Torbay show when the company’s founder, Rodger Hoadley presented the keys to Patrick Tierney of GPL, owner of 5000th Scarab Sweeper.

In addition to its own stand where several of the range were featured, including the VM Minor, the Merlin, Magnum, Magnum Plus and the Mistral, Scarab products were spread around the show.

Go Plant, Gulliver’s Truck Hire and Northern Municipal Spares all displayed a variety of Scarab machines. Renault and Iveco exhibited Merlin hydrostatics mounted on their respective chassis whilst a Merlin mounted on a DAF chassis displayed on the Red Forge display featured the Red Forge Alexert system.
