London borough sweeps in with mini-compacts

The Park Services Division of the London Borough of Brent has taken delivery of two Ransomes Pathfinder mini-compact, ride-on sweepers for litter collection duties within the parks and open spaces of the borough. Brent Park Services ordered the direct vacuum version of the Pathfinder, which is powered by a 14.7kW water-cooled, Kubota diesel engine. The Textron Specialty Products machine features a raise and lower system on the floating vacuum head, designed to cope with varying sizes of litter.

Textron states that the single seater cab provides a healthy working environment for the operator, with protection from dust and the weather. Front wheel drive enhances kerb climbing and manoeuvrability.

Included in the purchase agreement is a package of operational and technical training, together with technical support from Textron’s dealer, Ernest Doe and Sons Ltd.
