In the latest episode, sponsored by Inspired Energy, edie speaks to Nespresso UK’s managing director Guillaume Chesneau, who played an instrumental role in the development of the company’s plans to reach carbon neutrality by 2022. 

Nespresso has been carbon neutral across its Scope 1 (direct) and Scope 2 (indirect) emissions since 2017. But with 70% of its climate impact sitting in Scope 3 (indirect), the new target will require more ambition and action. 

Chesneau provides detail as to how Nespresso will combine direct reductions, insetting and offsetting to reach its new targets. He also explains how the net-zero and purpose-led business movements have evolved due to Covid-19.
