New catalogue “Reference materials for environmental analysis 2002/2003” from LGC Promochem

NEWS RELEASE: The latest reference materials catalogue from LGC Promochem provides analysts and researchers in the field of environmental analysis throughout Europe with improved access to reference materials and standards from the world’s leading environmental reference material producers, including ULTRA Scientific, BCR, LGC and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

The new “Reference materials for environmental analysis 2002/2003” catalogue from LGC Promochem supersedes various parts of a number of catalogues including “Reference materials for organic analytes in Industrial, Foodstuff and Environmental analysis”, “Reference materials for macro-micro- and trace elemental analysis” and “Reference materials for the analysis of pesticides”, all from Promochem, and the “General reference materials catalogue Issue 6 (2000)” from LGC. The new catalogue features a comprehensive range of ULTRA Scientific reference materials, including both organic and inorganic standards and special mixes for use with EPA methods.

LGC Promochem is Europe’s most comprehensive single source of reference materials and reference substances and works closely with many of the World’s leading reference material producers to make reference materials fully available to customers throughout Europe. This latest catalogue is the third LGC Promochem catalogue to be launched following the merger between LGC’s reference materials business and the Promochem Group of Companies last year.

The new range of LGC Promochem reference material catalogues marks an important milestone for the European reference materials market and for LGC Promochem. The company is now ideally positioned to serve customers in this important market segment more effectively than ever before, though increased geographical coverage and greater expertise in materials distribution, backed by comprehensive technical support.

Caroline Jones, Business Development Manager, General Reference Materials at LGC Promochem commented. “The importance of environmental analysis has been well illustrated recently with increasing focus on environmental matters and the proliferation of legislation associated with the environment. Issues such as the prevention of pollution and the protection of our environment challenge laboratories to make reliable measurements. Reference materials are one of the key tools in assisting analysts to meet this challenge. The expertise and experience of LGC Promochem in the sourcing and distribution of environmental reference materials and standards will be of great benefit to laboratories looking for high quality products to calibrate equipment and validate methods. This new catalogue is the first one aimed exclusively at environmental analysts and featuring matrix materials and organic standards with inorganic standards. We are sure that our customers will find the comprehensive range included in this catalogue of great assistance when seeking the right product to meet their requirements.”
