News Release: CW Recycling Machinery Sales Ltd becomes UNTEC UK Ltd

2002 has proved to be a busy year for staff at UNTEC UK Ltd. The Lancashire machinery suppliers have decided upon the name change from CW Recycling Machinery Sales Ltd to UNTEC UK Ltd to further ally themselves to their main suppliers UNTHA SHREDDERS of Austria.

Joe Hoyle technical manager of UNTEC UK and one of Britains leading experts in the field of Shredding systems and their applications explains the change by saying, “UNTHA shredders are our core business and we intend to concentrate 100% on the sales and service side of our business. We will no longer be representing the other companies from our portfolio and are not looking for additions to it, although we have received many offers from companies seeking our representation, we feel none quite live up to the expectations we have after dealing with UNTHA for the past six years”.

CW Recycling was formed in 1995 to buy and sell recycling machinery, but after being approached by UNTHA Shredders in 1996 it was decided to concentrate on dealing as agents for a small portfolio of European machinery manufacturers. Of these the UNTHA quickly became the flagship of the company.

As the originators of the four-shaft system UNTHA have never sat back on their laurels and as many competitors have copied the ideas coming from the design team in Austria, The only way forward has been to stay at the leading edge with regards to design and technology. This is shown by the new range of XR Shredders suitable for coarse shredding of industrial waste. The S range of twin shaft shredders, the MR And LR range of single shaft shredders and the original four shaft RS range.”With this comprehensive range we can shred almost any requested application down to a uniform particle size,” said Joe.

With a highly skilled and dedicated workforce UNTEC (UK) Ltd aims to improve its market share in the highly competitive shredder sales market. “Our engineers are young and dynamic, just like the company,” said engineering manager, Colin Bates. Its commitment is to providing its extensive customer base with the level of service and after sales care they have become used to.

Growth of the engineering department headed by Colin Bates, a newcomer to the industry, Colin has previously worked within the heavy engineering industry and the knowledge gained during his EITB apprenticeship motivated him to become a lecturer himself passing on his knowledge to a new generation of engineers. “I believe the lengths we have gone to to secure the services of someone of Colin’s experience and technical skill prove our continuing commitment to customer after sale care which has always been one of the foundation stones of our business philosophy.” stated Joe.

A new web site, www.untec.co.uk has been built by the design team at Immaculate Conceptions to be launched coinciding with the name change to promote the differing ranges and allowing companies to contact the sales team through sales@untec.co.uk or services through service@untec.co.uk. It is UNTEC UK’s aim to provide visitors to this site comprehensive analysis of its range along with full contact details to its suppliers and its industry partners, along with installation details from some of its many satisfied customers.

“It is a very exciting time to be involved with the company,” said David Ingham who has recently rejoined the company as marketing manager after touring the United States,” with the new XR range coupled with our existing range we are confident of fulfilling any mandate given to us by our customers. From textiles to plastics, lorry tyres to wood, aluminium to fridges, the list of applications we have received queries for this year has been almost endless”. Whilst UNTEC UK will be primarily focussing upon the sales and service of UNTHA Shredders it will still provide full turnkey operations requiring ancillary equipment which it will source from tried and tested sources within the relevant industries. “We have preferred suppliers for all our ancillary parts, In whose products we have the utmost confidence, these manufacturers are chosen because their equipment is of the same engineering quality as the UNTHA Shredders they compliment, but with our newly extended technical department we are now in a position to offer to fabricate certain items in house, meaning savings for our customers”, Joe Hoyle explained. “Whilst we also have industry partners in Granulation, Compaction, Conveyance Systems, Structural supports, etc…”.

UNTEC UK LTD will operate from their new prestige premises in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire As of October 2002. “Our old premises had become too small too cope with our expanding business, but with the new premises we have room to spare and the electrical capabilities to showcase all the machines from our range, We are also closer to motorway links and have the yard space to facilitate the unloading of artic trailers” David Ingham said, “We intend to have an open day in the near future to promote the launch of the XR Range, a single shaft shredder with the capability of shredding up to 100 tonnes a hour”.
