The course will be relevant to any organisation looking to implement or maintain an EMS and will be especially useful for anyone with EMS roles and responsibilities, as well as those with wider environmental and sustainability auditing, reporting or strategy responsibilities.

The course is broken down in four modules.
Module 1 introduces users to the different EMS schemes and standards and considers the key benefits and drivers for implementing an EMS.
Module 2 introduces audit planning and Initial Environmental Reviews (IER) and
Module 3 introduces key EMS documents, including Aspects and Impacts Registers, Legal Registers and Environmental Policies.
Module 4 covers EMS audits and will guide users through the development of a comprehensive audit checklist to help them check key areas when undertaking their internal audits.
