Confusion remains over CRC
Many industry and public sector bodies set to be affected by a new government energy efficiency scheme next year are still confused about the details.
The September poll, with over 270 respondents, showed an even split, with half of those quizzed confident they knew what was required of them and the other half admitting to significant gaps in their knowledge.
The more recent poll showed that there were less organisations completely in the dark - with 42% saying they were not totally up to speed - but there were also significantly less who claimed complete confidence, with just 31% saying they felt well prepared.
The remainder of respondents said they thought they were ready, acknowledging minor gaps when it came to the detail.
When the CRC comes into force next year, those who get it right are set to reap reputational and financial rewards as they do well on the public league tables, while those who are slow to start are likely to see their image, and their bottom line, suffer.
To help those of our users who feel they could brush up on their knowledge, edie has organised a CRC clinic which will take place in London on November 12.
We've got speakers from DECC and industry lined up to provide practical advice and help cut through the confusion.
